    Long term sore throat

Hey guys, so i developed this mild sore throat about a month ago, it came on when i had an abscess under my tooth which i had to take 2 courses of amoxicillin for, i'm still waiting to get the problem tooth taken out. The sore throat has been there everyday, it is usually worse first thing in the morning and sometimes at night. I also have a swollen lymph node under my jaw. I went to my gp who suspects the lymph node is swollen as i still haven't had the bad tooth taken out yet but he didnt seem concerned about my sore throat.

I've suffered with acid reflux a lot over the past 10 years and i also have a lot of post nasal drip, both of which i've seen can cause a sore throat but its worrying me that its lasted this long. In the mornings my throat is a bit red, but the redness goes after a couple of hours. Im so worried this is something serious, has anybody had something similiar?

    Re: Long term sore throat

I often have a sore throat and lose my voice, apparently due to post nasal drip.
