    missed heart beats

Hello me again panicking about my heart [:I]

My heart beats and then stops and then starts up again, it is driving me mad, i have been to the the Drs a couple of weeks ago and he said everything was ok (had ECG). Is this the same as ectopic heatbeats that i read about on the forum?

Im not sure if I think about my heart and then it happens or does my heart happen first then i think about it (does that make sense)[?]

I am trying to convience myself Im not going to drop dead, i run up and down the stairs and take the dog for long walks and Im still here!!

I need to get my head round this, we are hoping to go to Oz for a holiday next year and i dont want to be feeling like this (spent a week in ibiza in sept feeling terrible) Maybe a should chase the Dr up for my CBT referral

    Thanks for listening
    K x x

Hi there, so sorry you are feeling rough right now....Have no sound advice really, but I would be totally reaassured by your doctor, they know what to look for and where the heart is concerned, they can't take risks, if there was even a slight hint of a problem you would have been referred to a specialist! I honestly think it is all related to anxiety and once you have had CBT things will ease a little. take care and keep in touch. by the way, have a look at a few old posts here, they may also reassure you that you are not alone and these feelings are very common. xxx

I have this - I had it checked out the other day - I spoke to a doctor at work and she did an ECG which picked it up. It totally freaked me out as I thought I was just imagining it! However, she ran it past the cardiologist and he said it is really common, he gets it himself at times, and not to be at all concerned.

Mine seems to come on when I am not doing anything else. I remember reading about it in the Clare Weekes book and she said something about trying to make it worse - I've tried it and you can't!

Try to be reassured that you're okay and nothing terrible is going to happen! Apparently lots of people have it and aren't aware of it. You'll be fine!

    Hi Kristy
Its the same as ectopics and nothing at all to worry about. I uses to get it really bad before I got onto meds.
Where are you going to in OZ? I'm in Brisbane
    Phill

    Don't believe everything you think.
