Doing absolutely bloody awful today. And that funeral is tomorrow.

Pretty much since the easing of all Covid restrictions 2-3 years ago the staff there appear to have been just going through the motions and seemingly in their own little worlds on occasions with an apparent sense of limbo, though probably not deliberately.

It does seem like most people in have simply stopped caring in general and have become even more absorbed in their own little worlds since the pandemic first started petering out over the past 2 years or so.

I've even noticed many people seem more lax about issues such as H & S of late, compared to even 5 years ago, which I also perceive as yet another symptom of post-pandemic syndrome.

Look at this way..
It's no longer than 15 minutes.
Wear something you feel comfortable in.
Walk away if you don't want the after chats.
The one thing about funerals is you can avoid people if emotions run high, so you can use that to your advantage.
You can do this, you've been through much worse.
Just imagine me and darksky being at your side. x

Lenco and Carnation, many thanks for your very kind words And I apologise about that outburst from earlier, I was in mid-panic. It's the funeral of my Uncle's wife, but the three children came to Dad's funeral so felt I couldn't dodge it.

Thinking of you, fishman. It may not be easy, but you are strong and can face it. No shame either in ducking out as soon as you can, or stepping away for a bit for a break. Funerals are hard, others will certainly understand.
