Lexapro - EXTREMELY itchy skin?

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone could help me - I started taking lexapro 8 days ago (which are already working wonders - no panic attacks in 5 days!) but I have EXTREMELY itchy skin the last 3 days. No change in shampoo/body wash/fabric softener/eating habits etc. My skin is actually red raw from me scratching it so much. Has anyone got any advice, or have suffered similar?

I think you should go to your doctor and discuss this with him. A rare and potentially serious side effect of this med is a rash. Yours seems more like an itch and it developed a few days after starting the med, therefore it sounds like it's unrelated, but it's better to be on the safe side!
