Burping fits to breathe

Hello all!

Was also wondering whether any of you have 'burping' fits[Sigh...]. I know this may sound strange, but when i hyperventilate, my first reaction is to force myself to do little burps and clear my throat!

It's so embarassing especially when i'm around people that don't know me well! I think the burping reassures me that I am breathing ( and haven't forgotten to!)!

Do any of you ever feel the same[|)]?

I don't burp but I often clear my throat and cough lots - same thing really.

Hi Astrid,

We all have diffrent ways in dealing with this
as Sarah says she coughs alot, I used to think
I needed to hiccup or cough to claer my throat.
It's all the same thing as Sarah says.
