It's okay to still be having problems. Recovery is slow but it helps if you can recognise the tiny little signs of progress. Every minute you want to self harm but don't is a success.
You and I both know that when someone first has thoughts of selfharming they are normally so overwhelming they don't really have a choice.
I'm okay. Still attending councelling and doing the Mindfulness.
You have to remember that recovery is slow. If you accept that and accept that you will have set backs it might help. Try not to be so hard on yourself. Don't just read this and think 'yes I'll try that' actually try to like yourself. I know how hard this is because i'm still working on it!!
What do you do to pamper yourself? I started taking long bubble baths. I take a hot drink in with me and sometimes read a book. It was odd to begin with but it's really relaxing. i've also got my Mum doing it now.
It's such a simple thing but it's something you can do that's nice for yourself.
