white flashes im scared

hi everyone
last night when i went to bed id only closed my eyes for 2 mins when i saw a white flash i thought it was lightning and looked outside but saw nothing i then closed my eyes again and it happened again. this has now scared the living daylights out of me and now think its a brain tumer or something serious like that, i was doing really well but now think ive gone back 50 paces, i have said to myself if it happens again i will go to my gp or do you think i should go now! but i am so scared.
some words of comfort at the mo would be great everyone

Do you ever get eye twitch ?
I get this when suffering anxiety and have had it when i go to bed,
causing a white flash because my eye twitches so fast i dont even notise it happening. This could be the cause of yours ?
If you feel very concerned a visit to your gp should put your mind at rest or another good call is NHS DIRECT, you can find them online and they are very good for reassuring you.

If you are anything like me i panic with simple back pain, always looking further into things which make me more stressed.....wish i wasnt like this:(

Hello,

When I was going through a cycle of panic attacks I used to have the flashes of light as well when I closed my eyes. It scared me half to death. I was afraid to close my eyes! How horrible is that? It's nothing to worry about at all and it will go away eventually. Now get a good night's sleep!
