    Best time to take Citrolpram?

I have been on Cit for nearly a week now (10mg) I have noticed improvements in my mood but this happens...
I take my meds around 10am with my breakfast, I'm fine but 2 hours or so later i starts getting waves of anxiety and i get very sleepy...a few hours later when it kicks in properly i feel fine again. Last night (day 4) i was very frowny and irritable and complained to hubby that i'm fed up of it making me feel different every day. I'm at at home Mum and it's important to me that i can function during the day...so my question is, when is best to take the pill?
I like the feelings i have between 7.30am and 11am before the pill starts making me feel weird :( how can i balance this out? xx

It balances itself out. Don't worry. I was just the same in the first week, most of us on here were. It takes about a month to start working properly. Give it time.

Treatment initiation is always weird. Sounds like you're going to respond really well though. Stick with it!

Switch to evenings. I find I function a lot better taking it between 5-6pm.

I got like that when I started mine,it does get better.Mine took me about 2 weeks and then things settled down.

It can take a month to get in your system properly and your body to get used to it.

With every increase in dosage you will also feel like this and have off days.
I prefer to take the meds at say between 8 and 10pm and always after food or you will feel nauseous .
10mg Is a very low dose and you shouldn't get any side effects at all with that amount.
Could if be just anxiety making you feel like this.

Citalopram is best taken in the morning. Keep busy and it will level out over the next few weeks
