    Hey All

Simple things by Zero Seven, just an amazing album. As for films, there is one film that is so relevant, but absolutely brilliant and that is Garden State, which also has a great soundtrack ( including Joe Gonzales ).
Interested to know if anyone is familiar with these, but try them if not.

I like to watch musicals when I need to relax or when I'm feeling unwell. "Hello, Dolly", "My Fair Lady", "The Producers", "Hairspray" etc. Also Disney movies... Helps me get my mind off things.

Favorite music for me is anything Ludwig van Beethoven. I am a Beethoven fanatic. Other times I love the calmer songs from the Smashing Pumpkins or listen t David Bowie.

Frightened Rabbit "Poke", "Learned your name"
    Ryan Adams "Gimme Sunshine"
    Ryan Adams "Words"
Ryan Adams "Call me on your way back home"
Ryan Adams "oh my sweet Carolina" (i live in his home state =)
Bon Iver "Skinny love" the later...with jools holand live version from 2008
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfAS6...layer_embedded
    radiohead "fake plastic trees"
cat power "good woman" the acoustic one
the tallest man on earth "love is all"
    missy higgins "forgive me"
    rocky votolato "white daisy passing"
alanis morissette "that i would be good"

I listen to these over and over.

    Movies for me:
    Garden State
    Lars and the Real Girl
fight club (strangely calms me down... i think because it is so familiar)

Also! During really stressful times like problems at work, family feuds or such, I like to lounge in bed all day and watch episodes of Dawson's Creek and Felicity. Makes me feel young again, and I can get lost in their lives and forget about mine for a while.

I watched the entire series of Lost in just six days about a year and a half ago during a dark time... There is a permanent body impression in three places on my bed where I've laid and not moved for so long so many times. That's kind of sad. But I don't do that anymore. =)

    this is a nice thread
I agree with those who mentioned Jose Gonzalez in fact I'm now going to listen to his CD this morning now.
I find old familiar TV comedy is very comforting. Old episodes of Only Fools and Horses. Or Friends, seen them all a million times but the characters are so familiar and comforting that I find it calming. Also Everybody Loves Raymond and King of Queens. I love the American sit coms.
