Well....
I did it! My first public performance in a year and a half. When I drove to the mountain, the sign said that Skyland was "FULL"! That means a packed house in the lounge where I perform. The weather was beautiful albeit pretty cold at 3500ft but it was a gorgeous drive.
Set up/sound check and hit the stage at 8:30 for my 90 minute show. WOW! What can I say? I was pretty anxious about my voice but it held out and I sounded good I felt relaxed and at ease. Is was as if I never took a break. I started to lose my voice a bit at the very end but not noticeable to anyone but me. As I perform more, my voice will gain strength and hopefully my higher registers will return.
Lots of folks came up afterwards with very kind words and the tip jars were packed full
I'm BACK!
