Hello Trish its horible isnt it. It happened to me last nite at about 11.30 ish i was sweaty my heart was going like mad i was so scared i just sat up in bed for a few mins had a drink of water watched tv for about half an hour and then went back to sleep and that seemed to work for me i think.

P.S These horrible feelings will not hert you try to stay calm.

    hi trish,

i get that a bit too, but i wake up around 2-3 sometimes feeling sick and weird pains...it is awful..
i go for a shower and a cry sometimes, and then watch tv till i fall asleep again...we got cable so i got good stuff to watch rather then the icky infomercials..lol..
take care...just tell your self your ok... and try to 'feel ok as best you can, and then do something that will distract you....

    hi trish
i wake feeling panicky and my heart is fluttery but my pulse is normal and no other symptoms. trouble is i always seem to be checking myself to see if i feel alright which i think invites other negative feelings and its very scary.
