This stuff is designed to clear you out good and proper! I know it's very unpleasant but it's the only way to get the most accurate diagnosis as your whole system needs to be empty and clear to assess..
Keep us posted (if you feel up to it?) x

Thanks Pulisa. Xx
I'm looking at it positively a big of a detox. It didn't taste too bad at all. Bit citrusy. Effect started an hour after but not unbearable. Just need to sprint up the stairs very fast.....
Movie day today. Next sachet at 3pm
Im looking forward to mine. Darrnit!!!!
I was told that it was a good detox method and that things would be a lot better afterwards after a good clear out! My consultant favours the 4 hour moviprep Big Gun treatment-iit's just a 4 hour preparation period and you also get injected with an anti-emetic so that you can't be sick! Your way is far more gentle but just takes longer xx
Good luck Michelle! xx
Thank you. I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow, I'm getting sedation so hopefully will be relaxed.
Today not been too bad. Things have settled down now. Xx
I had my procedures done this morning under sedation. No anxiety and was awake just relaxed.
Bowel looked fine, did the whole thing took 4 biopsies but said in report it looked fine. Was pleased about that as my dad suffered really badly with bowel disease and ultimately bowel cancer. Get results in a couple of weeks from biopsies.
Stomach however still tested positive for helicobacter (despite taking the eradication therapy and a stool test showing negative). Consultant said stool tests are not 100% accurate, therefore good job I did have a second endoscopy.
He is going to write to my gp to say which cocktail of drug I need to take this time and for 14 days not 7 this time.
Hope I manage to get rid of it. Accounts for bloating, gurgling noises, abdomen pain, weight loss, nausea and feeling full early when eating. Also had gastritis still which was bleeding so biopsies taken in my stomach too.
So although not perfect, no sign of cancer, ulcer or blockage so that had helped ease my anxiety some what. Procedures were a little uncomfortable but not unbearable and def needed doing or I would of thought I was helicobacter free.
I'll let you know what biopsies show. Pleased it's all over with!
X
I'm so pleased for you too. That h.pylori bug can be such a resistant organism-you must have had a bellyful of it....literally (pardon the awful pun!) xx
Hahaha - thanks Pulisa
I'm looking forward to results from biopsies from stomach as in December it showed moderate to severe gastritis, this time consultant said it didn't look as red as previous but h pylori test was a strong positive.
Problem is the standard two antibiotics they use to kill this are two I am allergic to which doesn't help. Xx
A friend of mine has the same problem with recurrent and resistant h.pylori. Your consultant sounds very much on the ball xx
