Covidia is a great monicker! Kontagion for a boy? Or Pandemicus?

There should be a nod to Brexit too..Maybe De(a)lia?

It just shows how anxiety skews our reality. The world viewed through a laptop screen feeds into this as well. Though saying that, I read the 'Saturday Essay' in the DM today by a usually level headed Dominic Sandbrook, a historian. The essay was about COVID-19 and halfway through he started rambling about the plague in the 1300s. Good grief talk about alarmist claptrap, there is no comparison whatsoever between coronavirus and the plague and he knows that. It's like everyone has lost the plot.
let's face it..the DM is stating that Hyde Park is going to be used as a morgue for all the dead bodies so comparing cv to the plague is what he has to do to earn his crust..

The hacks will be digging into the whereabouts of BoJo's love children and getting quotes...so at least the chance of some respite. I'm sure Harry and Meghan will come up with something too because they can't be out of the limelight for too long.

watched this, found it quite interesting. Subscribed. Watched today’s video and now I’ve found myself in an argument with one of the commenters who has said that the death rate is actually 30% and 2 billion will die from this. The only ‘proof’ he has of this is that 10 people have recovered from the cruise ship and 6 have died. He failed to mention the 300 that are asymptomatic and the rest that are experiencing mild symptoms thus far! He reckons he has backed it up with a good argument. I pointed out he hasn’t backed it up with scientific evidence. I don’t know how I have ended up getting involved in YouTuber comments but someone replied to him and said ‘yes and people that say it’s just like the flu are spreading misinformation’ so it all kicked off when I said so someone comparing it to the flu is misinformation but saying it will kill 2 billion isn’t. Apparently it’s not! Haha I despair and I won’t become any further embroiled in the debate. Fancy getting involved in a debate in youtube comments. I’m 36, too old for these shenanigans!
