Want to change from Citalopram to Seroxat

Hi there,

I suffer from Anxiety, and about 8 years ago when I was being treated, the doctor put me onto Seroxat. I found thius worked really well, and I came off it about 2 years later.

Since my anxiety started again, about 3-4 years ago, he has been prescribing Citalopram, on 30 mg. It just doesnt seem to work, and I have asked him if I can change to Seroxat. He is VERY reluctant due to the bad publicity it received in recent years.

I felt he might do it if I really insist, but he wants me to try counselling first, and then maybe move onto Seroxat if he really has.

Anyone else had similar reactions?
