Sertraline

Hi

I have been on Sertraline for a month now 50mg. I have had lost of traumas this year and they are still ongoing.

The tablets seemed to start working after about two weeks but now I am in a terrible state again brought on by my youngest leaving home. I can't sleep,eat, fuzzy head and running to the loo all the time and feel quite suicidal

I have an appointment with the GP Wednesday. Not sure if its the tablets that are causing some of these symptoms or maybe I need a stranger dose which scares me

If you are feeling suicidal Now, please go to the Hospital it advises this on the leaflet that comes with them i have just started on them.

Hi Jenny

It could be that the extra stress has worsened your underlying anxiety/depression and that you may need a stronger dose to cope? On the other hand, if you are getting an increase in suicidal thoughts it may be safer to come off them.

Many of the side effects you mentioned I had too, but they pretty much went after four weeks. See what your GP thinks .
