While Monkeypox may have been declared a 'global health emergency" it still hasn't been declared a global 'pandemic' per se.
Still hardly in the same league as Covid (even now) and just 5 deaths from it worldwide so far out of all the culminitive cases of this current strain which is only negligible at this stage and hardly warrants the exact same restrictive measures as with Covid earlier in the pandemic.
Nor are the BBC, etc, doing full-on wall-to-wall coverage of it day in day out like they were with Covid.
In fact, more people die of various other things (including normal 'flu') pretty much every year, and it often doesn't make massive national headlines, let alone provoke collective restrictions.
I think he should just chill out generally and stop getting too embroiled in misleading information online.
In fact, no deaths attributed to the current strain of Monkeypox have been confirmed in this country so far, which is quite remarkable considering we have (allegedly) been one of the first and worst hit countries outside of Africa so far.
Monkeypox isn't airborne, so there won't be lockdowns. There might be a push for vaccination (I think over here there already is if you think you may be at risk), but that's it.
On the road of experience, join in the living day. If there's an answer it's just that it's just that way.
