Its normal to only get one sore breast from hormones and this can happen up to 2 weeks before a period is due.
You need to keep a watchful wait with this - if the pain gets worse and is accompanied by any swelling/redness or hotness then it could be an infection in the breast. Or if you period comes but afterwards you still have one sore lumpy breast . it would be sensible to get Dr's opinion.
The most likely scenario is that your period will come earlier than you expect and then the sore boob will get better.
Pain and soreness is not typical of breast cancer. I had a horrendous breast abscess once and the specialist I saw told me this. I agree... watch and wait. Lumpy boobs are common before the menopause.

Thank u for your replies, i felt and it feels like a pea in my boob, really scared now, i no its prob hormonal as both my boobs hurt now and am due on today x
They say not to do a breast self exam just before or just after your period.
I would wait until you are midway through your cycle and then do it again. If the lump is still there see your doctor.
So i came off my period a week ago and my breast still feels lumpy.. and i have the one hard tiny ball in my right breast.. its right at the top of my breast and i think that part is very lumpy and lots of glands... i think im over reacting but cant seem to shake the worry off
