    Best time to take propeanalol

I have been prescribed 40mg propanol once a day. My anxiety is worse between midnight and 10.00 am so I was just wondering what was the best time of day to take it?
Pharmacist says it lasts 24 hours but I a a bit sceptical!

I prefer taking it at night when I do take it.

I would take it before bed in your case.

Propranol takes roughly 1.5 hrs in my experience to start to work, so if you know of an anxious time approaching, exam, job interview etc take it before then.

For me with an on going anxiety I take 20 mg when I first wake up 4am and then see how things go, my GP has told me I can take upto 3 a day and in an emergency 2 in one go.
