Hi Guys, do you know if Camomile Tea is O.K to drink whilst taking citalopram 10mg? I know its a natural product and may sound like a stupid question but i know that you cannot take st johns wart whilst on medication so wanted to double check!
Thanks X
Do you all really think it helps?
I used to drink it occasionally, years ago, before my HA started. It is supposed to calm one down and facilitate sleep, I know that, but I didn't notice any effect whatsoever.
Was I too wound up?
Can it really help me when I panic?
It is soothing but I would say its benefits are somewhat exaggerated - like most natural remedies in my experience. But it is pleasant. Valerian tea made with the dried plant leaves is more effective as I recall. Shame it tastes and smells so disgusting!
Might have to give the camomile a try. I'll try the valerian when I have a cold so I can't tell what it tastes or smells like. lol. I do like the odd decaf green tea, I know that's meant to help with weight loss and has antioxidants in it.
I cant get away with just camomille tea but the camomille with spiced apple from twinings is nice x
I'VE LEARNED THAT PEOPLE YOU CARE ABOUT IN LIFE ARE TAKEN FROM YOU TOO SOON....AND THE LESS IMPORTANT ONES JUST NEVER GO AWAY....AND THE REAL PAINS IN THE ASS ARE PERMANANT.

reading everyone saying that chamomile doesnt taste good or is weird.. im wondering wether i have the right stuff or not lol! i find the taste really nice and i think it is somewhat soothing.
The trick with camomile tea is to not completely boil the water.
Just warm it up.
Then cover the top of the cup with a plate because apparently many great properties are lost when it steams.
I drink it three-four times a day and in fact thank you for this thread as I'm now reminded to make myself another!
P.s: stop coffee asap, it does nothing for anxiety.
Hi

This is nothing personal - it just enables us to keep posts about the same problems in the relevant forums so other members with any experience with the issues can find them more easily.

Flavonoid apigenin in chamomile tea has a relaxing, sedating quality that can help you sleep which in turn help reduce anxiety.
