It's probably like a Knighthood in your country. They've given that to some people who've led absolutely horrendous personal lives.
Oh I know but these people are normally stripped of any honours once their crimes are exposed.
Tiger Woods has done very well to come back and win a major golf tournament but he's still a vile narcissist and serial adulterer.
Yes but what about a guy like Sir Mick Jagger? Wasn't he arrested for narcotics one time? Certainly an adulterer and long time drug user. I believe all before he was knighted. Not defending Woods. I honestly never cared about Woods one way or another. Just recognising a truly incredible feat for someone who was that down and out (self inflicted yes) to come back and win The Masters. Unbelievable really.
