So I had to go to urgent care because I took the plaster off and it was hot, red & a bit green . I had a temperature too.
They’ve given the cut a thorough clean & given it a new dressing, and given me a course of antibiotics.
They didn’t seem bothered by the fact I can’t move my knee much, it’ll hopefully just go down soon. I hope that the infection clears up quickly too.
Eeeek! It sounds awful. Poor you- I hope the antibiotics are helping...... it actually sounds to me like you are being very brave. Hope you are being well looked after xxxxx
Hope it feels better soon Scass

That's probably part of why you can't do much with it. Infections can be painful and the swelling will likely be worse for it.
A couple of days on the meds should help though. Once they kick in you might find the pain substantially decreases as much of that can be the infection. I found that with an infected thumb from a gardening cut and my broken wisdom tooth. Once burst or the infection killed off the relief was bliss!
Time to reward yourself and relax.
