Hi Guys
I've been on Lexapro for about 6 yrs and feel like it's no longer working.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them?
Thanks in advance.

Don't believe everything you think.
Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.
Unfortunately, AD poop-out after a few years does happen, Phil. It is more likely with SSRIs than SNRIs, TCAs and MAOIS.
However, if you've been under greater than usual stress lately you just may be need to up the dose until things calm down (assuming you're not maxed out at 20mg/day).

Personally I would get Christmas out of your system before making a judgement about your lexapro, Phill? I'm very sorry that it was so challenging for you. At least it's over now, thank goodness. Look after yourself and don't take on too much in the coming days?
Thanks Pulisa
My wife went to our daughters place 600ks away for Xmas for her mental health leaving just the dogs and I alone but she's coming home today so hopefully things will settle soon.
I don't blame her as we work from home in a house supplied by our boss and she needed a break away from it.

I hope you start to feel more settled now she's back, Phill..Personally I don't think any med can "override" life circumstances which cause an upset.
Doing better today thanks Pulisa

That's good to hear. Does the diazepam still help you during less settled times?
Hi Phill I was on Lexapro around 10 yrs ago unfortunately they weren’t for me.
Hope you are feeling better now J is home. I got home yesterday morning to find the Long Covid clinic has closed due to funding.
Wishing You well Phill.
Yes Pulisa it does that the edge off.
Thanks Lola I've been here before so I know I'll get back to normal.
