Acid reflux and menopause

Hi everyone,

I’m currently 7 weeks since having a period. I’m 53, so Perimenopausal. My symptoms over a few years so far have been anxiety, feelings of panic, palpitations, occasional nausea, random leg pain around a period. As of this week I've had heartburn and acid reflux.

Is heartburn and reflux a symptom of menopause? Anyone else found this. It's not something I normally suffer. I know not everything is menopause related but I'm curious.

I've had reflux for a long time but I think it has got a bit worse with the menopause. Either that or because I eat more rubbish when I'm feeling grotty the reflux is worse.
