    I am a Goddess....(maybe!!)

    Hi All

I actually managed to get my hair coloured and cut today

Ok I didn't go to a shop but had my hair done by a mobile hairdresser. Other agoraphobics may be the same as me cos I have always hated strangers coming to the house. Many times in the past when I was really bad, a knock would be heard at the door and I would scarper upstairs because I just couldn't deal with it. I've had panic attacks when faced with having to take a parcel in or other types of deliveries

Anyway last year a friend of a friend came to the house to do my hair. I was wound up all day like a coiled spring, sweating, hyperventilating, shaking...you name it. I panicked while she was doing it but tried to hide it (I'm good at this!....years of experience!) and it wasn't a very nice experience to put it mildly!

This time things were miles better. Ok I was nervous with butterflies and couldnt sit still just before she arrived but I didn't panic once . I'd worried all day mostly about what I would say, and what if I panicked and what if I made a prat out of myself. You know the story!

As always the build up was worse than the actual event and I was left wondering (as usual!!) what there was to worry about!!

    Hi Lexxie...

Congratulations...Yes you ARE a goddess. A visit to the hair snippers is like an assault on K2 for me. I can't bear to look in that mirror and usually get someone for whom english is a second language...

Your closing paragraph sums it all up. Why do we worry over things that turn out to be nothing at all?

    Well Done
    Take Care...

    Hi Lexxie,

I'm glad you hung in there even though beforehand you wanted to run. It does seem like in hindsight things were much easier than we thought they would have been! Great job!

    Love,

    Laura

    Hi Lexxie

Bravo for getting 'the do' seen to - I feel your pain - I currently have Worzel Gummidge hair but I'm loathe to get it sorted even though I know everytime I do it helps me feel slightly less grotesque.... I will try to be inspired by your efforts! Well done!

    Ok Lexxie...I was only kidding.

Mind you...if you've got the hair, why not have the head as well eh?

Once again, well done and all the best
