its just part of being an anxious person, when your relaxed you will breathe normally but while you think about it youll find it difficult. theres no cure for anxiety but when you can think about things from a more relaxed perspective it will stop the alarm bells of insecurity ringing and you will find yourself enjoying things more. its the what if thinking that gives us a hard time.

Hi, I suffered from this for weeks, probably months. I didn't even notice when it had gone because I got so used to it being there, and I've only just noticed it's back to normal so thanks for that!

It is definitely a symptom of anxiety, you don't need tests, and I don't think it will be asthma. I thought I was developing "adult" asthma (I'm 40), but it passed without me even noticeing and I feel fine now, slightly anxious (I think once you suffer from anxiety it is always somewhere in your sub-conscious mind so you never really get over - my personal opinion only).

It's hard to say persevere with it, but it's the only advice I can give. what I can say is, don't spend your time worrying about it. I worried too much about it, but I know for definite now that it was linked to my anxiety.

Hope you start to feel better soon.

    Les, x

    Hi,

I went through a stage once where my breathing was different, I was breathing like I had just run a mile and I ended up going to A+E.

It was all anxiety in the end.

Breathing is one of the common symtoms of anxiety.
