Is it like EMS? I've tried that in the past and it's a bit strange when you ramp it up too high on certain muscles causing contractions e.g. the wrists and your fingers curl in a lot.

I've had a NCS on both my arms and it was uncomfortable getting shocked but it wasn't the worst test I've ever had mine was because of overuse injuries from being a professional musician and they found carpal and cubital (ulnsr nerve at the elbow) syndrome in both wrist/elbows which I had surgery on.
