No lump with the bowel cancel but many months of odd stools, blood, etc...Doctors didn't reassure you and tests were never quite far enough.

Reread that 300 page thread. Use a mental yellow marker to highlight the same things you are saying here. We can all see it but until you do this cycle will just keep repeating.
I know but the scrotum wasn't relaxed so I fear that he couldn't feel the lump properly. It feels different through thicker skin than it does through relaxed skin

I will re-read the thread but blood in stools and a testicular lump are both red flag signs so I feel like the worry is justifiable

If I'm not allowed to post then what is the health anxiety section for?

I'm sorry that I'm scared but I can't help it and even if I get mental help, the lump doesn't disappear

No, it doesn't. Improving your mental health is about changing your reactions to bodily features and sensations. The aim is to be able to deal with what comes up without reacting inappropriately.

Might want to heed those words

Of course you’re allowed to post, but you’re just blindly posting your panic. We’ve all been there so we can see the spiral that you’re in and we know that this happened before.

To be honest Toby, people are frustrated but I also think that they are sad to see you like this again. You were doing SO well.

This kind of spiral isn’t the result of a tiny weeny lump that your gp a) couldn’t find and b) wasn’t concerned about. It’s the result of your anxiety going unchecked.
It would be a really good idea to do a few things:

    1) go downstairs and spend some time with your family. Chat, watch telly, whatever. Or call a friend and talk.
    2) take some deep breaths, 10 should do it. In through the nose, out through the mouth. Then have a drink of water.
3). Leave your balls alone. I’m sure this is hard for a man. But if you keep prodding you will hurt yourself. Stop regularly checking, make yourself wait a day, then a few more, then a week.

See if you can get through this latest blip with the lessons you learnt from the last one.

Careful Scass.... I said the same thing and he got defensive....

As far as checking? Under normal circumstances, it makes sense. For someone with the mental illness at the level the OP has?... it would just be feeding the dragon.

    Positive thoughts

I suggest you heed Scass's words.

Again, a doctor doesn't just accept what the patient says or presents. If you aren't in the right position a doctor knows full well that he/she has to alter that. They are used to turning us over, bending us over or stretching bits of us to gain access the best way.

Think. Is the doctor so poor he can't work this out for himself? Doesn't he care enough to do his job? Yes, some doctors are exactly that but the vast majority are very good at what they do too. Have you any evidence yours a) was poor or b) couldn't be bothered? If you can't evidence those how can you say he/she didn't do the correct work to reach their conclusion? If you have no evidence you can't conclude they didn't make the correct checks and conclusions.

And finally, you don't have a clue what a real testicular lump feels like let alone a cancerous one. What makes you more likely to diagnose any lump let alone one so small a doctor can't even find? They have probably felt hundreds or even thousands of love spuds including ones with lumps and maybe even cancerous ones. Why do you trump that?

I know, even I was proud of myself, but I knew that something would pop up

I'm doing better right now because I've decided to spend £200-ish on an ultrasound so I don't have to drag this out

I just have to sort some things out. Hopefully I'll have an answer by the end of the month
