Throat damage????

Would it be feasible to think, that if someone has damaged throat muscles by shouting, it could result in a lump in the throat feeling or 'globus'??

Also, would it be fair to assume that as you are constantly using your throat for swallowing, holding head up etc, that it may take a very long time for those muscles to heal??
