    lump in my throat

hi! ever since my panic attacks started i've had what feels like a lump in my throat on the right hand side!
sometimes it's not there but then i might get it for about 2 weeks none stop. the doc said it was globus which made me feel a bit better but i worry even more because it's always in the same place. has anybody else had it like this???

Yes, lots of people get this - search the forums! It is caused by the muscles around your throat being tense - don't worry, it can't choke you though.

Yes, perfectly normal, as you will probably tense the same muscles when you get anxious!

Almost every night..especially when im on the computer..

    PRAYER FOR FREEDOM FROM SUFFERING

    May all beings everywhere plagued
with sufferings of body and mind
quickly be freed from their illnesses.
May those frightened cease to be afraid,
and may those bound be free.
    May the powerless find power,
and may people think of befriending each other.
May those who find themselves in trackless, fearful wilderness--
the children, the aged, the unprotected--
    be guarded by beneficent celestials,
and may they swiftly attain Buddhahood.

    Hi there,
I suffer from this and recently it was really bad although the doctor said it was anxiety related.
Mines came on suddenly and somedays its more obvious than others, because i've been worrying about other things just now, guess what, its not been as bad.
It's amazing the symptoms anxiety can give you , so try not too worry too much. Take care and have a lovely Christmas .
